課程概述 |
This course focuses on a specific topic in Industrial Organization within one semester. It is designed to provide the method of estimation and related empirical literature in this topic. In this semester, we will study the topic related to the entry and exit of firms and the market structure, especially for the empirical work on structural estimation of entry models. | |

The goal is to familiarize students with different models and estimation methods in this topic.

課程要求 |
Students are expected to have basic background in Econometrics and Industrial Organization. In econometrics, students are assumed to know OLS, IV, MLE, and GMM. In Industrial Organization, students should understand the concept of Nash equilibrium, subgame perfect equilibrium, and perfect Bayesian equilibrium.
Grading: 30% Class Participation 30% Midterm 40% Replication of a paper |
